What Information Does SightPlan Collect and Store?
We collect "Personal Information" from Users enabling us to personalize and improve our Services. We collect the following types of information:
Information You Provide to Us
We may collect and store any information or content you enter into the Service through any method or device. The types of information collected include your full name, email address, phone number, title, role, certifications, skill set, username, password, contact preferences, and any other information necessary for us to provide our Services. You may choose not to provide us with certain information, but then you may not be able to use SightPlan or take full advantage of specific features.
We also collect and store content you add to your account. We don’t use this information for any purpose other than to make sure it is available to you when you use the Service.
We collect payment information for some SightPlan Services, such as name, address, credit card number and banking details. This information is used solely for billing purposes and to fill your orders. It is collected, processed, and held in a secure environment that only those with authorization from SightPlan can access.
Information Collected Automatically
We receive and store certain types of information whenever you interact with our Services. SightPlan automatically receives and records information on our server logs from your browser and device including your IP address, browser cookie information, and the Content you submitted or requested.
We also determine the geographic area where you use the Service (as indicated by GPS coordinates or similar identifier), and the language you select when interacting with the Service. We collect this information in order to help us deliver and support the Service, including by localizing your experience.
Generally, our service automatically collects usage information, such as the numbers and frequency of users. SightPlan only uses this data in aggregate form, and not in a manner that would identify you personally.
Gathering this kind of information helps us administer the Service, provide convenient and personalized user access, improve the features and usability of our products and Service, analyze user trends and information about users’ use of our Service, collect information about use and growth of the Service, and evaluate the content and organization of our Service.
We also may receive information, such as account details, from integrations with third parties. Once this information is stored in the SightPlan Service it is managed under the terms of this Agreement as if it were collected directly by SightPlan.
We may contact you with information about product announcements, useful tips, software updates and special offers. We may also contact you with information about products and services from our business partners. You may opt out of such communications at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link found within SightPlan email updates or by logging into your SightPlan account via our web site at www.sightplan.com and navigating to Profile > Contact Preferences and changing your communication preferences.
How does SightPlan Share and Disclose this Information?
SightPlan is not in the business of selling or renting User information, and we only disclose information as described below:
Your Explicit Consent
Except as set forth above, you will be notified when your Personal Information may be shared with third parties, and will be able to prevent the sharing of this information.
Your Account Administrators
Every SightPlan account may have one or more account administrators who can configure and manage your account on behalf of you and your organization. You hereby consent to our sharing of Personal Information with your account administrators.
Our Service Providers
We employ other companies and people to perform tasks on our behalf and need to share your information with them to provide products or services to you. Unless we tell you differently, these providers do not have any right to use Personal Information we share with them beyond what is necessary to assist us. You hereby consent to our sharing of Personal Information for the intended purposes.
Businesses We Do Not Control
We anticipate that we may become affiliated with a variety of businesses and work closely with them. In certain situations, these businesses may conduct business with you through our Service. In other situations, SightPlan may provide services jointly with affiliated businesses. You can easily recognize when an affiliated business is associated with your transaction, and we will share your Personal Information that is related to such transactions with that affiliated business.
Protection of SightPlan and Others
We may release Personal Information when we believe in good faith that release is necessary to comply with the law; enforce or apply our conditions of use and other agreements; or protect the rights, property, or safety of SightPlan, our employees, our users, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organizations for fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
In some cases, we may choose to buy or sell assets. In these types of transactions, customer information is typically one of the business assets transferred. If SightPlan, or substantially all of its assets were acquired, or in the unlikely event that SightPlan goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, customer information would be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of SightPlan may continue to use your Personal Information as set forth in this policy.
How does SightPlan Secure Personal Information?
SightPlan is committed to protecting the security of your information and takes reasonable precautions to protect it. However, SightPlan cannot guarantee the security of user account information. Unauthorized entry or use, hardware or software failure, and other factors that may compromise the security of user information at any time.
Data Storage and Transfer
When you use our Service on your computing device, content you save will be stored locally. When you synch your computing device with the Service, that content will be replicated on our servers which are located in the United States.
Access to Your Personal Information
SightPlan allows you to access some or all of the following information about you and in certain situations to update that information. This list will change as the Service changes.
- Account and user profile information
- E-mail address
- User preferences
If you are not the account administrator for the Service, you may need to consult with your account administrator to view and/or update this information.
Your Choice in Sharing this Information
You can always opt not to disclose certain information, even though it may be needed to take advantage of certain features of the Services.
SightPlan accounts may be deactivated by the account administrator, however, deactivation does not result in deletion of your information from the Service. Based on the nature of the Service some information may remain in our records even after deactivation of your account, such as, but not limited to, historical task activity or billing information kept for reporting, legal and accounting reasons. Additionally, because of the way we maintain certain services, residual copies may remain in our backup systems indefinitely.
Use by Children
Our Services are not intended for children under the age of 13. SightPlan does not knowingly or specifically collect information from children under the age of 13.
